Midnight Oil is a women's apparel brand of high-fashion, hard-to-find, high-quality staples. Our collection is guided by minimalism, monochromatic styling, and a sophisticated simplicity that gives its wearer an air of je ne sais quoi , what we call Quiet Confidence.

Our goal is to help women feel like they could own the room in the clothes they're wearing. We believe a blazer alone can make a woman stand taller and move through her day knowing she's got this.

Our design aesthetic draws from the culture and architecture of Paris, Milan, and New York, and from chic street style. We have an admiration for women who project an innate sense of style even when small urban closets demand a minimal collection of timeless staples that transcend seasons and fads.

Most of our collection is made-to-order. Orders are taken before production begins, an eco-conscious choice that avoids overproduction and minimizes waste. Garments are made one at a time with time-honored craftsmanship, so every piece arrives with genuine quality and attention to detail.

The Opportunity

This isn't a sales job. It's a styling practice you build yourself, with a brand behind you. As a Midnight Oil Stylist, you work with women at the moments that matter, the promotion, the pitch, the board seat, the first day in a new role. You learn her preferences, her calendar, and her ambitions.

You choose your clients and set your own hours. Because most of our collection is made to order, there's no inventory to purchase, carry, or move at the end of a season. What you build is a client book that you can nurture and grow.

And that book doesn't have to stop at individuals. The woman you style for her promotion may lead a team of twelve. Companies come to us to outfit their people, for executive onboarding, team uniforms, corporate gifting, and recognition programs, and those conversations often begin with a stylist who was already in the room. You develop them alongside our Head of Sales.

What You'll Do

• Style women one-on-one. Personal consultations, fittings, and wardrobe planning, in person or virtually.
• Build your clientele. Network in your market, generate introductions, and nurture relationships that last well beyond a single order.
• Open corporate partnerships. Recognize when a client's company could dress its team, and develop that opportunity in partnership with our Head of Sales. You bring the relationship; we bring the program, the pricing, and the support to close it.
• Host and support pop-up events. Bring the collection to your community.
• Share the brand in your own voice. Post to your channels using our ready-made marketing assets, tag us, and send looks directly to clients and prospects. Engage with Midnight Oil posts to extend our reach.
• Bring the field back to us. Your read on what clients want, what's selling, and what's missing shapes what we make next.
• Show up for the team. Ongoing training, scheduled team calls, and an active private stylist community where the network shares what's working.

Who You Are

• Goal orientated and motivated to drive sales; love getting the sale
• Experienced in womenswear retail, personal styling, or another individualized, high-touch specialty environment
• Bringing a strong network of potential clients, and the instinct to keep expanding it
• A natural at making people feel seen; you deliver first-in-class service because you actually care how she feels walking out the door
• Comfortable in a professional conversation, as at ease discussing a client's wardrobe as you are asking about the team she leads
• Self-directed and organized, able to manage your own calendar to meet the business, including some days, evenings, and weekends
• A genuine collaborator with clients, fellow stylists, and the Midnight Oil team and someone who is curious, resourceful, and inclusive by instinct
• Comfortable using technology and leverages it as a sales tool. Programs include Google Docs and Sheets, Canva, Instagram, LinkedIn, and our internal stylist dashboard .

• 1099 independent contractor
• Commission-based, uncapped, you earn on what you sell
• Flexible schedule, set by you
