Middlesex County Stem Charter SchoolMiddlesex County STEM Charter School (MCSCS) is a public school serving grades Kindergarten through 10th grades and open to all students who reside in the City of Perth Amboy. The school is free to all students and families and is a replication of the Central Jersey College Prep Charter School, a recipient of the 2016 Blue-Ribbon Award and other prestigious awards. The mission of the Middlesex County STEM Charter School is to provide rigorous science, technology, engineering, and math curricula in a diverse and nurturing environment to spark students' interest at an early age in STEM careers. Our mission is delivered through a meticulously engineered educational ecosystem, where we intentionally nurture our students' intellectual, social, and emotional growth, as set forth in our comprehensive vision statement.School Custodian Responsibilities Include:Cleaning & Sanitizing: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect classrooms, cafeterias, offices, and high-touch surfaces.Restroom Care: Scrub and sanitize fixtures, mop floors, and restock soap and paper supplies.Waste Management: Empty daily classroom bins and manually lift and transport heavy waste receptacles to outdoor dumpsters.Heavy Lifting & Setup: Move furniture for cleaning, transport industrial cleaning machines, and set up or break down heavy tables and bleachers for events.Supply Management: Receive, unload, and store bulk deliveries of heavy cleaning chemicals and paper goods.Building Maintenance & Security: Lock and unlock the facility daily, perform minor repairs (e.g., lighting, lockers), and report major hazards.Grounds & Weather: Maintain exterior entryways and manage winter weather by shoveling snow and lifting heavy bags of rock salt or ice melt.Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of experience in building, facility, and ground maintenanceAbility to perform physical labor, lift heavy objects, and work in varying weather conditions.Valid NJ driver's licenseMust be able to communicate effectively in English; Spanish is a plus.Successful completion of a criminal background check and proof of a TB testBenefits consist of Health/Vision/Dental insurance, Flexible spending account, Paid time off, and more.8 hour shift - Monday to FridayWork Location: In personJob Types: Full-time, 12-Month ContractSalary Starting: $31,000.00 per year
